Football

American football is a team sport played by two teams of 11 players on a rectangular 100-yard field with the goal of scoring points by advancing an oval-shaped ball into the opposing team's end zone. Teams achieve this by running or passing the ball, with each possession consisting of four attempts, called "downs," to advance at least 10 yards. A game lasts 60 minutes, broken into four 15-minute quarters, and points are scored through touchdowns (6 points), field goals (3 points), and conversions.
